Diagnosis Certificates, Medical Records, and Other Documents
According to National Health Insurance regulations, charges for patient diagnosis certificates, medical records, copies of X-ray images, etc. are not covered by NHI. Hence, patients shall pay for relevant costs incurred. TCH’s billing standards are as follows:

Please Note:
If you are Low Income Insurance insured, veterans, or are suffering from a catastrophic illness/injury, please present us with your NHI Card when paying, so that we can verify your eligibility for copayment exemption. Your eligibility is noted in the NHI Card.
Subsidies and Copayment Exemption
Those suffering from catastrophic illnesses/injuries
If you have received treatment for related health problems in our outpatient clinics, emergency department, inpatient hospitalization, or have received the same course of treatment, you can be exempted from the copayment (You are still required to pay the registration fee).
Low income insurance insured
Registered TB patients
Registered TB patients undergoing treatments for related health problems may be exempted from NHI copayments (Registration fee will still be charged).
Occupational illness/injury
Those suffering from an occupational illness/injury or related health problems and are seeking outpatient, emergency, same course of treatment, or inpatient care for the issue may be exempted from NHI copayments provided that they bring with them the diagnosis certificate of the occupational illness/injury or related ailments (Registration fees will still be charged).
Patients who are residing in Orchid Island or Green Island and have a referral form
Those meeting the criteria can be exempted from copayments for outpatient and emergency treatments (Registration fees will still be charged).
Those with the disability manual; are referred to our outpatient services; have undergone an outpatient surgery or had been discharged and are returning for a follow-up appointment within 7 days of surgery/discharge
There will be an NT$50 NHI outpatient copayment (Registration fees will still be charged).
Transportation subsidy for the indigenous peoples
The subsidy is offered by the Council of Indigenous Peoples. For details, please speak to the local public health centers.
